Profile
Kathleen Frederickson researches the interfaces between economics, politics and the social and physical sciences. Along with her appointment in the Department of English, she is affiliated faculty for the Graduate Group in Cultural Studies, as well the programs in Science and Technology Studies, Critical Theory, and Feminist Theory and Research. Her areas of interest include Victorian literature and culture; feminist and queer studies; the history of physics, biology, psychology, and the social sciences; Marxism; and psychoanalysis. She is currently at work on her second book, on economics and the psychologization of density.
